ZERONOISE
Privacy and terms
ZERONOISE is a small independent project in early access. This page says in plain words what it keeps, who else is involved, and how to leave.
What it keeps
- Your email address, to sign you in. You sign in with a link we email you: there are no passwords.
- What you save: the songs and mixes you heart and the notes you write on them. They are private to your account.
- Which songs you have heard: a song counts once a mix has played it for about 30 seconds. It gives you your “explored” percentage and lets you filter the map. It is yours alone unless you choose to show it to your friends or to members.
- Your profile, if you make one: a handle, a name and a line about you, which other members can see and search, and the mixes you pin. Your friends: people you invited, people who invited you, and requests you accepted. What you have heard and your library are shown to them only as you choose.
- A short history of sign-ups and sign-ins (and who invited you), to run the service and stop abuse.
- One cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
- The host’s logs briefly include the address your requests come from.
Who else is involved
- Sign-in links and invites are sent through an email provider.
- Cover art is loaded from Deezer, and mixes play in SoundCloud’s own player. Your browser contacts them when you use those, and their terms and privacy policies apply to what they do.
- The site runs on Fly.io, in Paris.
Your data
You can delete your account yourself at any time, from this page when you are signed in.
Terms
- It is free, in early access, and provided as is. It can change or stop.
- The map is built from published tracklists of radio shows and DJ sets. It points you to records; it does not host music. Music plays through SoundCloud’s own player and belongs to its owners.
- Use it for yourself. Do not scrape it, resell it or republish its data.
- Accounts that abuse the service may be disabled.
